Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Retirement System, Chelsea, is searching for an active domestic small-cap growth equity manager to run about $20 million.
The $631 million pension fund issued an RFP due to the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission's requirement that services are put up for bid every seven years, said Carolyn Russo, executive director, in an email.
Current manager Loomis Sayles & Co. is invited to rebid, she said.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to domestic equities was 30%; the target is 31%.
Investment consultant NEPC is assisting. The RFP is posted on NEPC's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EST on Feb. 13. A selection is likely sometime in March, Ms. Russo said.
