Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Retirement System, Chelsea, rehired Loomis Sayles & Co. to manage about $20 million in active domestic small-cap growth equities.
The $641 million pension fund's board approved the hiring at its meeting on Thursday, said Carolyn Russo, executive director, in an email.
The pension fund issued an RFP in January due to the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission's requirement that services are put up for bid every seven years, Ms. Russo said at the time.
Axiom Investors, Summit Creek and Westfield Capital Management were the other finalists.
As of Feb. 28, the actual allocation to domestic equities was 30.7%; the target is 31%.
