Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta, has approved a commitment of up to $300 million to Pathlight Capital Evergreen Fund, confirmed James Bennett, CIO of the $20.4 billion pension fund.
The board authorized the commitment to the direct lending fund at its March 13 meeting, subject to final due diligence, legal review and negotiations. Pathlight Capital is an existing relationship for the pension fund.
Pathlight Capital is a private credit investment manager “providing asset-based loans secured on a first or second lien basis against tangible and intangible assets,” according to the firm’s website.
