Louisiana Teachers' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, is searching for an active domestic small-cap value equity manager to run about $400 million, said Dana T. Brown, director of public markets, in an email.
The $25 billion pension fund issued a solicitation for proposals due to the upcoming expiration of current manager Mesirow Financial's contract. The firm is invited to rebid, Mr. Brown said.
As of Jan. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to domestic equities was 23.2%; the target is 22%.
The SFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 4:30 p.m. CDT on April 3. A selection is expected at the pension fund's June 1-2 board meeting.
