Louisiana Teachers’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, plans to launch a search for an investment consultant for its $2.8 billion 401(a) plan in July.
The retirement system plans to issue a solicitation for proposals July 15, according to a presentation included with June 6 board meeting materials.
The reason for the search was not provided. The contract of current consultant Mercer will expire Dec. 31, 2026. The firm was the incumbent and was rehired in 2021 following an SFP process. TRSL spokeswoman Michelle Millhollon would not provide further information.
The pension fund issues SFPs on its website. If the board approves the SFP at its July 11 meeting, it will be issued July 15. Proposals will be due by Aug. 9 and a selection is scheduled for Nov. 8.
