Louisiana Teachers' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, is searching for two active international value equity managers to split $850 million, said Dana T. Brown, director of public markets, in an email.
The $24.4 billion pension fund issued a solicitation for proposals because the contracts of current managers Baillie Gifford and LSV Asset Management will expire on Feb. 28, 2023. The firms are invited to rebid, Mr. Brown said.
As of Aug. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to international developed markets equities was 9.7%; the target is 8%.
The SFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 4:30 p.m. CDT on Nov. 7. A selection is scheduled for the pension fund's Jan. 5-6 board meeting.
