Louisiana Teachers’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, approved commitments totaling up to $400 million.
The $27.4 billion pension fund’s board committed up to $250 million to Oaktree Real Estate Income Fund Feeder VI, a core real estate fund managed by Oaktree Capital Management, and up to $150 million to HPS Strategic Investment Partners VI, a private credit fund managed by HPS Investment Partners, at its March 13 meeting, a spokesperson said.
The pension fund previously committed up to $100 million to Oaktree Special Situations Fund III and up to $25 million to HPS Strategic Investment Partners V, both in 2022.
As of Jan. 31, the pension fund’s actual allocations to alternative assets and real estate were 36.4% and 13.2%, respectively.
