Louisiana Teachers' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, committed up to $50 million to Balance Point Capital Partners V.
The $21.1 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the middle-market private debt fund at its meeting Thursday, said Dana T. Brown, director of public markets.
As of Oct. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to alternative assets and real estate was 37.6%.
