Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, committed $100 million to Warburg Pincus Global Growth 14.
The $14 billion pension fund's board at its Feb. 17 meeting approved the commitment to the private equity fund that seeks investment opportunities in sustainable value companies, said Laney Sanders, assistant chief investment officer.
Previously, LASERS had committed $100 million to Warburg Pincus Global Growth in 2018.
Also, the board at the Feb. 17 meeting approved a follow-on commitment of $50 million to Siguler Guff Pelican Global Emerging Markets Fund II, an emerging markets private equity fund of funds managed by Siguler Guff & Co. LASERS originally committed $50 million to the fund in 2020.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private markets was 20.3%.
