Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, made two new commitments totaling $200 million to funds managed by Brookfield Asset Management.
The $13.9 billion pension fund's board at its March 24 meeting approved commitments of $100 million each to real assets-focused buyout fund Brookfield Capital Partners VI and infrastructure fund Brookfield Infrastructure Fund V, spokeswoman Tonja Normand said in an email.
LASERS previously committed $100 million to Brookfield Infrastructure Fund IV in 2020 and Brookfield Capital Partners IV in 2015.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private markets was 20.3%.
