Louisiana School Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, committed up to $30 million to ArrowMark Global Opportunity Fund III, a private credit fund managed by ArrowMark Partners, said Matthew Freedman, chief investment officer, in an email.
The $1.8 billion pension fund previously committed $50 million to ArrowMark Global Opportunity Fund II in October 2018.
The pension fund's actual allocation to opportunistic fixed income as of Sept. 30 was 4.7%.
Investment consultant Segal Marco Advisors assisted.
