Louisiana Clerks' of Court Retirement and Relief Fund, Baton Rouge, hired EARNEST Partners to run about $42 million in active domestic small-cap value equities.

The pension fund conducted a shortlist search following the termination of William Blair & Co. from a similar portfolio due to organizational changes, according to March 30 board meeting minutes.
Assets have been parked in an iShares Russell 2000 index fund managed by BlackRock, minutes show.
There were no other finalists.
As of June 30, the pension fund's actual allocation to domestic equities was 40%.
Investment consultant AndCo Consulting assisted.
