Los Angeles Fire & Police Pensions committed a total of up to $70 million to two alternative investment funds, information on the $23.3 billion pension fund's website shows.
Pension fund officials committed up to $60 million to buyout fund Silver Lake Partners VI. The fund will invest in technology, media and entertainment companies. The pension fund has invested with Silver Lake in the past.
LAFPP also committed up to $10 million to venture capital fund Summit Partners Venture Capital Fund V-A. The pension fund has invested with Summit Partners in the past.
