Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension Fund committed $25 million total to four alternative investments funds, according to agenda materials for the $23.9 billion pension fund's meeting Thursday.
Pension fund officials committed $7.5 million each to growth equity funds Resolve Growth Partners Fund I and Sunstone Partners II.
Pension fund officials also committed $5 million each to Estancia Capital Partners Fund II, a middle-market buyout fund managed by Estancia Capital Management, and venture capital fund Pear Ventures III.
As of Aug. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 10.2%; the target is 12%.
