Los Angeles Fire & Police Pensions is searching for a non-discretionary private equity investment consultant.
The $22.8 billion pension fund is seeking a consultant to identify investments, perform due diligence evaluations and provide recommendations to the board for private equity commitments, according to an RFP on its website.
The current private equity consultant is Portfolio Advisors. The RFP does not say whether the firm is eligible to rebid.
As of June 30, the actual allocation to private equity was 17.7%; the target is 14%.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. PDT on Oct. 28. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
