Lonmodtagernes Dyrtidsfond, Frederiksberg, Denmark, known as LD Pensions, selected MP Investment Management, a subsidiary of MP Pension to manage two Danish equity portfolios.
In efforts to boost active ownership in Danish companies, the 35 billion Danish kroner ($5.2 billion) LD Pensions focused on sustainability in the selection process for the 1.7 billion Danish kroner portfolios, the fund said on its website. C WorldWide Asset Management previously managed the portfolios.
"MPIM has worked on the integration of sustainability in stock selection and active ownership for many years and is far ahead of many of the other potential asset managers," CFO Charlotte Mark said in a new release.
MPIM will take over the management of LD portfolios in the first quarter of 2020.
"We are delighted to (have had partnered) with C Worldwide and appreciate their professionalism in every respect. It was a tough competition, where C WorldWide also made a very qualified offer," Ms. Mark added.
