Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association, Pasadena, Calif., committed up to $100 million to BlackFin Financial Services Fund III, a pan-European small-cap private equity fund managed by BlackFin Capital Partners, said Steven P. Rice, chief counsel of the $54 billion Pasadena, Calif.-based pension fund, in an email.
The board made the commitment in closed session at its July 2 meeting. BlackFin is a new manager relationship for the pension fund.
