Kern County Employees' Retirement Association, Bakersfield, Calif., is searching for a hedge fund consultant, said Daryn Miller, chief investment officer.
The $4.6 billion pension fund has issued an RFP for a consultant to provide services for the pension fund's hedge fund portfolio, Mr. Miller said. Current consultant Albourne Partners is invited to rebid.
The pension fund's target to hedge funds is 10%. As of Sept. 30, the actual allocation was 12.9%.
The RFP is posted on KCERA's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. PST on Feb. 19. A timeline for a selection has yet to be determined.
