Fonchim, a €6.78 billion ($7.6 billion) pension system based in Milan, issued RFPs for five investment strategies.
For its stability section, the pension system for workers in the Italian chemical and pharmaceutical industries wants a manager or managers for two balanced active strategies of about €680 million; an emerging fixed-income strategy for about €118 million; and an Italian real economy strategy for roughly €30 million.
For its growth section, the plan is seeking a firm to manage a passive balanced strategy of about €240 million.
The RFPs are available on the pension plan's website. Proposals are due by noon Central European Summer Time on Sept. 30. Selection dates were not disclosed.
