Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System, Springfield, is searching for active low-duration fixed-income managers to run a total of between $200 million and $400 million.
The $73.1 billion pension fund is seeking proposals from active managers to run between 1% and 3% of its $15 billion global income portfolio in strategies ideally benchmarked to the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate 1-3 Year index, according to an RFP on its website.
The RFP does not disclose whether the portfolios of any current managers are up for bid or whether they would be eligible to rebid for the services.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website. Proposals are due by Feb. 28. A timeline for selections was not provided.
