Illinois Teachers' Retirement System, Springfield, is searching for a general investment consultant.
The $60.7 billion pension fund has issued an RFP because of the upcoming expiration of the contract of current consultant RVK, spokesman David Urbanek said in an email. The firm is invited to rebid.
As of Sept. 30, the pension fund's actual allocation was 31.4% global public equities, 23% global income strategies, 18% real estate, 16.8% private equity, 7.1% diversifying strategies, 2% other real assets and 1.7% short-term assets.
The long-term target allocation is 37% global public equity, 26% global fixed income, 16% real estate, 15% private equity, 4% diversifying strategies and 2% other real assets.
The RFP is available at the TRS website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. CST on Feb. 9. A selection is expected sometime in June.
