Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System, Springfield, is searching for global equity managers.
The $73.1 billion pension fund is seeking information from active managers of global large-cap, midcap, small-cap and/or all-cap equity strategies that can manage portions of its public equity portfolio totaling nearly $25 billion, according to a search notice on its website.
All offerings should be global equity strategies holding both U.S. and non-U.S. stocks, the notice said.
Portfolio sizes have yet to be determined, and the notice said while TRS plans to hire one or more firms, the pension fund might just allocate additional capital to existing managers if preferred search candidates are not found.
Potential candidates will be identified based on strategy information submitted to the eVestment database. Interested managers should email general investment consultant RVK, which is assisting with the search, at [email protected] to express interest and provide updated information to eVestment with data as of Sept. 30 by Feb. 13.
A timeline for a selection was not provided.
