Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, approved seven new commitments totaling $405 million, spokesman John Krupa said in an email.
The $53.1 billion pension fund's board on Friday approved commitments of up to $100 million to infrastructure fund Partners Group Direct Infrastructure 2020; and up to $75 million to Vistria Fund IV, a middle-market buyout fund managed by Vistria Group.
The board also approved commitments of up to $50 million each to Artemis Real Estate Partners Healthcare Fund II, a health-care-focused real estate fund managed by Artemis Investment Management; Insight Venture Partners XII, a growth equity fund managed by Insight Partners; and KKR North America Fund XIII, a North American buyout fund managed by KKR & Co.
Also, the board approved commitments of up to $40 million each to ABRY Senior Equity VI, a special situations fund managed by ABRY Partners; and Sterling Group Credit Fund II, a mezzanine debt fund.
As of Dec. 31, IMRF's actual allocation to alternative investments was 6.4%; the target is 7%.
