Howard County Retirement Plans, Ellicott City, Md., committed $20 million to Digital Alpha Fund III.
The joint committee for the Howard County Retirement Plan and the Howard County Police and Fire Employees’ Retirement Plan approved the commitment to the infrastructure fund managed by Digital Alpha Advisors at its Dec. 10 meeting, recently released meeting minutes showed.
There is no record of any prior commitments by the retirement plans to Digital Alpha Advisors.
As of Dec. 31, the plans’ actual allocation to real assets was 4.4%; the target is 6%.
The pension funds have $1.6 billion in combined assets.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
