Herman Miller Inc., Zeeland, Mich., added the Northern Trust S&P MidCap 400 Index Fund collective investment trust to the investment options lineup for its 401(k) plan in 2019.
The passive domestic midcap equity trust managed by Northern Trust Asset Management had $5 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, according to the company's 11-K filing May 22 with the SEC.
No investment options were removed from the plan. The CIT joins two other Northern Trust index trusts in the lineup: the S&P 500 Index Fund and Aggregate Bond Index Fund.
As of Dec. 31, the Herman Miller Inc. Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plan had $967 million in assets, according to the 11-K filing. As of that same date, the plan had nine individual mutual fund options, four CIT options, a common stock fund and a target-date fund lineup managed by Vanguard Group.
