Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Houston, is searching for an investment consultant for its $289 million Transport Workers Union Pension Plan and $183 million Non-Union Pension Plan.
The authority has issued an RFP because the contract of current consultant Marquette Associates is set to expire June 30, spokeswoman Tracy Jackson said in an email. The firm is eligible to rebid.
As of Dec. 31, 2018, the target allocations for both plans were: 35% fixed income; 27% domestic equities; 24% international equities; 10% real estate and 4% hedge funds, according to their most recent comprehensive financial annual reports.
The RFP is available on the authority's procurement website. Proposals are due on Jan. 30. A timeline for a decision has yet to be determined.
