Franklin Regional Retirement System, Greenfield, Mass., is searching for an active domestic core fixed-income manager to run $22 million.
The $210 million pension fund is seeking proposals from managers with fixed-income strategies benchmarked to the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond index, according to an RFP posted on the website of investment consultant Dahab Associates, which is assisting with the search.
The RFP does not disclose the name of the portfolio’s current manager or the reason for the search. Typically, municipal pension funds in Massachusetts issue RFPs to comply with the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission’s requirement that services must be put up for bid every seven years.
Kristine Mathis, the pension fund’s executive director, could not be immediately reached for further information.
The RFP is available on Dahab’s website. Proposals are due by noon EDT on April 24. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
