Fort Worth (Texas) Employees' Retirement Fund allocated $72 million to Northern Trust's Russell 1000 Growth index.
Funding came from terminating a capital appreciation strategy managed by Frontier Capital Management. A reason for the termination was not disclosed.
A Frontier spokeswoman declined to comment.
The board was informed of the termination at its Wednesday meeting, confirmed Benita Falls Harper, executive director of the $2.2 billion pension fund, in an email.
