Flowers Foods Inc., Thomasville, Ga., added three index funds managed by Vanguard Group and changed the active domestic small cap value equity option offered in the investment options lineup of its 401(k) plan.
The plan added the Vanguard Total Bond Market Index Fund, Vanguard Small Cap Index Fund and Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund during 2021, according to a comparison of the company's 11-K filing on June 17 and last year's filing.
As of Dec. 31, the index funds had $8 million, $7 million and $2 million, respectively, in assets in the plan, according to the new 11-K filing.
The comparison also shows the plan in 2021 added the Segall Bryant & Hamill Small Cap Value Fund, which had $8 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, according to the new 11-K filing.
Also during 2021, the plan removed the William Blair Small Cap Value Fund, managed by William Blair Investment Management, the comparison shows.
As of Dec. 31, 2020, the William Blair option had $9 million in assets in the plan, according to the prior 11-K filing.
The new 11-K filing did not provide a reason for the changes.
As of Dec. 31, the Flowers Foods Inc. 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan had $864 million in assets, according to the new 11-K filing.
