Falmouth (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for a U.S. small-cap core equity manager to run between roughly $15 million to $25 million, or 14% of the $183 million defined benefit plan. The actual amount to be allocated will be determined as a percentage of the portfolio.
The pension fund's most recent portfolio performance report lists RhumbLine Advisers as its current small-cap manager. Information was not available about whether this search is for that mandate or if the retirement system is seeking an additional small-cap manager.
Wainwright Investment Counsel, the pension fund's investment consultant, is assisting with the search.
The RFP is available on Wainwright's website. Registration is required. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. EDT on July 27. A selection date was not disclosed.
Francis St. Germaine, director of the retirement system; and Jeff Fabrizio, director of research at Wainwright, could not be immediately reached for further information.
