Fairfax County Educational Employees' Supplementary Retirement System, Springfield, Va., made a commitment to BVF V Journey Co-Investment.
The $3.4 billion pension fund's private markets consultant, Meketa Investment Group, disclosed the commitment to the biotechnology-focused private equity co-investment fund managed by BVF Partners at its Sept. 30 meeting, recently released meeting minutes show.
The minutes did not provide a commitment amount.
As of June 30, 2021, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 7%, equal to its target, according to the pension fund's most recently available annual comprehensive financial report.
