Fairfax County Educational Employees' Supplementary Retirement System, Springfield, Va., made two new commitments totaling $23.5 million.
The $3 billion pension fund's alternatives consultant, Meketa Investment Group, disclosed the commitments at the pension fund's remote board meeting March 26, a video of the meeting shows.
The pension fund committed $13 million to Centerbridge Partners Real Estate Fund II, an opportunistic real estate fund, and $10.5 million to Silver Point Specialty Credit Fund II, a middle-market direct lending fund managed by Silver Point Capital.
As of Feb. 28, the actual allocations to value-added real estate and private credit were 0.5% and 0.4%, respectively.
