ESSSuper, Melbourne, Australia, hired Frontier Advisors as its consultant, a spokeswoman said.
Effective July 1, Frontier will advise the superannuation fund's A$6 billion ($4.2 billion) defined contribution section for three years.
"Frontier led the field in virtually all of the measures that are important to us as a public-sector fund that operates on behalf of our members," CEO Mark Puli said in a news release.
Previous consultant, Willis Towers Watson, had worked with ESSSuper since July 2010.
Martin Goss, head of investment in Australia at Willis Towers Watson, said in an emailed comment: "We enjoyed working with ESSSuper on behalf of its members for the past nine years and look forward to further opportunities to partner with the fund again in the future."
The A$30 billion fund manages the retirement assets of 132,000 Victorian emergency services and state employees.
