El Paso (Texas) Firemen & Policemen Pension Fund hired AndCo Consulting as its general investment consultant and retained Meketa Investment Group as its private equity consultant, recently released board meeting minutes show.
The $1.5 billion pension fund issued an RFP in February following the termination of incumbent consultant Summit Strategies Group last year. Summit's public pension fund business had been sold to AndCo Consulting in November. Meketa had been serving as interim general investment consultant since Summit's sale. Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting was the other finalist.
As of March 31, the pension fund's actual allocation was 24.1% fixed income, 22.4% domestic large-cap equities, 21.2% international developed markets equities, 9.1% private equity, 8.6% real estate/real assets, 8.5% domestic small-cap equities, 5.5% emerging markets equities and 0.6% cash.
