El Paso (Texas) Employees Retirement Trust is searching for an investment consultant to review its practices and policies relating to its investment management.
The $814 million pension fund issued an RFP for a firm to review its investment procedures and policy as a one-time special study, said Robert Ash, executive director, in an email.
Callan is the pension fund's ongoing investment consultant. The consultant for this project will "review institutional investment practices and performance and to evaluate the appropriateness, adequacy, and effectiveness of the retirement system's investment practices and performance and to make recommendations for improving the retirement system's investment policies, procedures and practices," according to the RFP.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. CST on Jan. 31. A timetable for a decision was not provided.
