El Paso (Texas) Employees Retirement Trust on Wednesday rehired Callan as investment consultant, according to a video of the fund board's meeting.
The $1 billion pension fund had issued an RFP in July for due diligence purposes.
Four firms submitted proposals, according to the video. Along with Callan, applicants were AndCo Consulting, Meketa Investment Group and Segal Marco Advisors.
Two of those firms made finalist presentations along with Callan; the video did not identify the firms.
As of Sept. 30, the pension fund's actual allocation was 33.4% domestic equities, 23.8% domestic fixed income, 21.5% international equities, 10.8% private equity, 8.9% real estate and the rest in cash.
