Davie Police Officers’ Pension Plan, Sunrise, Fla., is searching for an active core fixed-income manager to run $20 million.
The $225 million pension fund is seeking proposals from managers with strategies benchmarked to the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond index, according to an RFP posted on the website of investment consultant Dahab Associates, which is assisting with the search.
The RFP does not disclose the reason for the search. As of Dec. 31, the pension fund’s sole core fixed-income manager was Garcia Hamilton & Associates, which had $31 million in its portfolio, according to the most recent available investment report.
As of Dec. 31, the actual allocation to fixed income was 18.9%; the target is 22.5%.
The RFP is available on Dahab Associates’ website. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EDT on July 18. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
