Dallas Employees' Retirement Fund hired Cohen & Steers to manage about $58 million in a global listed infrastructure portfolio.
The $3.5 billion pension fund's board at its Sept. 8 meeting approved hiring Cohen & Steers to run 1.67% of the total fund in its global listed infrastructure strategy, recently released meeting minutes show.
The pension fund conducted a shortlist search. Duff & Phelps Investment Management was the other finalist.
A funding source could not be immediately learned. As of Aug. 31, the pension fund did not have an allocation to infrastructure, according to an investment report.
Investment consultant Wilshire Associates assisted.
Anita Gage, senior pension specialist, would not provide further information.
