Cook County Annuity & Benefit Fund, Chicago, committed $30 million to Blackstone Real Estate Partners X.
The $14.2 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the global real estate fund at its June 2 meeting, said Regina Tuczak, executive director, in an email.
As of June 30, 2021, the actual allocation to private real estate was 5.9%.
Investment consultant Callan assisted.
