Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds, Hartford, is searching for a consultant to assist it in selling private markets holdings on the secondary market.
The pension system is seeking a firm to evaluate the holdings in its private investment fund portfolio and provide ongoing recommendations to sell certain holdings on the secondary market, according to an RFP posted on the website of Shawn T. Wooden, state treasurer and the $43 billion pension system's principal fiduciary.
The RFP says the system wants to "improve long-term return potential and support the deployment of potential proceeds into investment opportunities that are better aligned with the private market strategic pacing plan objectives."
Further information on the private investment fund portfolio was not immediately available.
The RFP is available on the treasurer's office website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EST on Jan. 14. A selection is scheduled for sometime in April.
Ted Wright, chief investment officer, could not be immediately reached for further information.
