Colorado Fire & Police Pension Association, Denver, disclosed two new alternative fund commitments totaling $33 million.
The $6.3 billion pension fund's investment staff in December committed £15 million ($18 million) to Mayfair Equity Partners III, a U.K.-focused growth equity fund, and $15 million to Transom Capital Fund IV, a distressed debt fund managed by Transom Capital Group, said J. Scott Simon, chief investment officer, in an email.
The pension fund previously committed £20 million to Mayfair Equity Partners in 2018 and $25 million to Transom Capital Fund III in 2017.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private markets was 31.7%; the target is 28%.
