Colorado Fire & Police Pension Association, Denver, hired Montrusco Bolton Investments to manage between $125 million and $175 million in an active global equity portfolio and made private markets commitments totaling $105 million.
The $6.1 billion pension fund committed $25 million and $10 million, respectively, to private equity growth expansion fund Cynosure Partners III and its co-investment fund, Cynosure Partners III Co-Investment; $25 million each to Blue Torch Credit Opportunities Fund IV, a direct lending fund managed by Blue Torch Capital, and growth equity fund Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund XII; and $20 million to buyout fund Periscope Equity III, according to an investment activity report included with Dec. 12 board meeting materials.
The report did not include further information on a funding source for the hiring of Montrusco Bolton.
As of Oct. 31, the pension fund’s actual allocations to global public equity and private markets were 40.6% and 31%, respectively; their respective targets are 38% and 31%.
