Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority, Marietta, Ga., hired Henssler Financial as investment consultant for its $39 million defined benefit plan, said Cole E. Blackwell, the authority's director of operations and assistant general manager, in an email.
The water authority issued an RFP in January for due diligence purposes; the services had not been put up for bid for many years, Mr. Blackwell said at the time. Robert Hunziker, a sole proprietor, was the incumbent consultant and was invited to rebid but did not. Gavion was the other finalist.
The pension fund's target allocation as of Dec. 31, 2017, according to the authority's most recent comprehensive financial annual report, was 45% domestic large-cap equities; 32% fixed income; 6% each domestic midcap equities, domestic small-cap equities and international large-cap equities; 2% each emerging markets equities and real estate, and 1% cash.
