Chicago Park Employees' Annuity & Benefit Fund is searching for an active domestic core fixed-income manager to run about $19 million.
The $318 million pension fund has issued an RFP due to the closure of prior manager Chicago Equity Partners in 2020. In May, the pension fund temporarily shifted the assets to Mesirow Financial because Chicago Equity's fixed-income team moved to that firm. Mesirow Financial is eligible to bid for the services, said Steve Swanson, executive director.
As of Sept. 30, the pension fund's actual allocation to fixed income wwas 17.7%.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CDT on April 5. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
