Chicago Firemen's Annuity & Benefit Fund is searching for at least one active international small-cap equity manager to run a total of up to $50 million.
The $874 million pension fund could split the portfolio between growth and value strategies, according to an RFP posted on fund's website.
The pension fund's website lists EPOCH Investment Partners and Globeflex Capital as respective international smidcap value and growth managers. It does not list any international small-cap equity managers.
As of June 30, the actual allocation to international equities was 26.2%.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CST Dec. 2. A selection is expected in February or March.
