Chicago Firemen's Annuity & Benefit Fund hired RhumbLine Advisers to manage a passive domestic large-cap value equity portfolio.
The $921 million pension fund's board approved the hiring at its Feb. 17 meeting, recently released meeting minutes show.
Funding comes the termination of active domestic large-cap value equity manager Wells Fargo Asset Management. The minutes did not disclose the portfolio size or the reason for the termination.
As of Dec. 31, the actual allocation to domestic equities was 38.1%.
Investment consultant Callan assisted.
Chief Investment Officer Lorna Scott did not reply to requests for further information.
