Chicago Firemen's Annuity & Benefit Fund is searching for a private equity fund-of-funds manager to run up to $30 million, an RFP posted on the pension fund's website shows.
The $874 million pension fund is seeking a manager with a private equity fund of funds that is "diversified across vintage year, industry sector, geographically and strategy type" and that has a scheduled closing date no later than Dec. 30, 2020, according to the RFP.
As of June 30, the actual allocation to private equity was 1%; the target is 4%.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CDT on Nov. 1. A selection is expected in January or February.
Investment consultant Callan is assisting.
