Chatham County Employee Retirement Plan, Savannah, Ga., is searching for a core-plus fixed-income manager to run $7 million to $10 million.
The $360 million pension fund issued an RFP for an additional fixed-income manager to provide further diversification to the asset class, said Kevin Condy, director of research at Dahab Associates, the pension fund's investment consultant, which is assisting with the search.
Funding will come from various asset classes, Mr. Condy said.
As of March 31, the actual allocation to fixed income was 18%; the target is 20%.
The RFP is available on Dahab Associates' website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. on July 15. A timeline for a selection has yet to be determined.
