Charlotte (N.C.) Firefighters' Retirement System is searching for an investment consultant.
The $604 million pension fund is seeking proposals from a firm to advise its board on its investment management, according to an RFP posted on the city of Charlotte's procurement website.
The board approved issuing an RFP at its July 27 meeting because it has been some time that the services were put up for bid, minutes of that meeting show. Current consultant Callan's contract was extended to June 30, 2024, at that time.
The RFP does not disclose whether Callan is invited to rebid.
The pension fund's target allocation is 38% domestic equities, 26% international equities, 25% domestic fixed income and 11% real estate.
The RFP is available on the city's procurement website. Registration is required. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. EST on Feb. 15. A selection will be made by April 26.
Sandy Thiry, system administrator, could not be immediately reached for further information.
