Charlotte County Deferred Compensation Program, Port Charlotte, Fla., is searching for a third-party administrator, said Kim Corbett, senior division manager of purchasing.
The $29 million 457 plan has issued a request for quotation for a firm to "assume the day-to-day administration and master record-keeping functions of the program, ensure compliance with all legal requirements of the program and act as a liaison between the county and the four plan vendors."
Those four vendors, which supply record-keeping services, are AIG Retirement Services, ICMA-RC, Nationwide Financial and Voya Financial. Ms. Corbett could not provide information whether the firms are eligible to bid for the services.
The selected firm would not be replacing the four record keepers but overseeing them, she added.
The RFQ is posted on the county's purchasing website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT on Aug. 7. A timeline for a decision has yet to be determined.
